Opening a new store is always exciting, but it’s even more fun when the community gets involved. On Friday, March 23, employees at the new Verizon Wireless store in Berwyn, IL were joined by the city’s Mayor, Chamber of Commerce members and community leaders for a special grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony.

John Fey, Berwyn Development Corporation president, served as the master of ceremonies. “Verizon has created a compelling display for its new technologies,” said Fey. “Its retail presence and reputation for excellent customer service is an important addition to Berwyn.”

Adrian Jonaitis, store manager, had the honor of cutting the ribbon with Mayor Robert Lovero.

The Mayor immediately wanted to check out the new iPad, and others were spotted checking out an assortment of 4G LTE devices throughout the morning.

The new Berwyn store is located at 7160 W. Cermak Rd. It is open Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. The store’s phone number is 708-484-3491.
