Josh Smith from Gotta Be Mobile gives the rundown on the new Samsung Galaxy Tab® 2.0 (7.0).

Verizon expands its tablet lineup this Friday with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, a new Android tablet with a 7-inch display and 4G LTE connectivity.

The Galaxy Tab 2.0 arrives online and at Verizon stores on August 17th with a tempting $349 no-contract needed price tag. The tablet requires a data plan, and customers can add the Tab 2.0 to the new Verizon Share Everything plans for $10 a month to share data with their existing smartphones.

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 2.0 is a 7-inch Android tablet running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Sadly the announcement includes no information about an upgrade to the smoother, faster Android 4.1 Jelly Bean we love on the Google Nexus 7.

Josh Smith from Gotta Be Mobile shares why he thinks the Verizon MiFi Jetpack 4620L is the perfect travel companion.

The Verizon MiFi Jetpack 4620L is the perfect travel companion, delivering a fast 4G LTE connection, long battery life and overcoming areas where the early MiFi units struggled.

We’ve already reviewed the MiFi Jetpack 4620L, but this past week I took a trip to San Francisco, where I put the MiFI 4620L through the paces as a business and personal traveler.

Most smartphones can share their internet connection in a similar fashion, and the mobile hotspot function is even included on the new Verizon Share Everything plans, but a dedicated mobile hotspot is still the best solution for users who need reliable connectivity without compromising the battery and usefulness of the their phone.

The MiFi 4620L saved the day when I was stranded for 6 hours in O’Hare airport (thanks United).

Josh Smith from GottaBeMobile reviews the new Lucid by LG and explains why he thinks it’s a solid 4G LTE device for smartphone newbies.

The LG Lucid on Verizon Wireless is an affordable 4G LTE Android smartphone with the first time smartphone owner in mind.

The Lucid may not have all the bells and whistles found on phones 2-3 times its price, but it does offer a fast 4G LTE connection, good battery life, solid build quality and an attractive upfront cost.

LG and Verizon promise that the Lucid will see an update to Android 4.0, the current Android operating system, but that shouldn’t be a deciding factor for shoppers interested in the Lucid.

The cost of a new smartphone is a minor part of the overall cost of ownership, so the $79.99 price after rebate is not the only thing to consider when looking at the LG Lucid.

Josh Smith from GottaBeMobile reviews the Motorola Lapdock 500, taking the newest Droid phones to the next level with laptop docking.

The Motorola Lapdock 500 is a laptop dock for your Motorola smartphone. Connect your Droid 4, Droid RAZR or Droid RAZR MAXX to the Lapdock 500 and you can use a full version of FireFox, access your phone and work on documents on the larger 14 inch display.

One of the best things about this setup is that it uses your phone’s 4G LTE connection with no additional charges. So, while you are traveling, you can connect your phone and start working, no fiddling with finicky 4G LTE hotpsots or hunting for WiFi.
